Sinterklaas is a beloved winter tradition from the Netherlands, celebrated on 5 December. In the weeks before, kids leave a shoe by the door with a carrot for Sinterklaas’s horse, and wake up to chocolate letters, spiced cookies (speculaas), and candy.
